The Head of Commercial for foodora Denmark is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director. This position carries the responsibility of overseeing and driving all commercial activities within the company. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue, increase market share, and enhance the overall commercial performance of foodora in Denmark.
- Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the overall business objectives, focusing on revenue growth, market expansion, and profitability.
- Revenue Generation: Identify new business opportunities and revenue streams to drive growth and increase market share. Develop and execute plans to optimize sales performance and achieve revenue targets.
- Partnership Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key partners, including local restaurants, ensuring ongoing collaboration and mutual growth. Actively seek out and pitch, negotiate and sign partnerships with potential new key vendors to enhance the foodora platform's offerings.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis, monitor industry trends, and assess competitor activities to identify market opportunities and risks. Utilize market insights to inform business decisions and develop strategies to maintain foodora's competitive edge.
- Pricing and Promotion: Develop pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and loyalty programs to attract and retain customers while maximizing profitability. Collaborate with marketing teams to drive customer acquisition and retention initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback and coaching, and empower team members to achieve their full potential.
- Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor and analyze commercial performance metrics. Take corrective actions as necessary to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Marketing, and Finance, to align commercial activities and improve processes to match overall business objectives and drive synergies across departments.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Mitigate commercial risks and implement effective controls to protect the company's interests.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Proven track record of at least 6+ years in a senior commercial leadership role, preferably within the food delivery, e-commerce, or related industries.
- Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of commercial dynamics, market trends, and customer behavior.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with a proven ability to establish and maintain fruitful partnerships.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and using insights to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with fluency in Danish and English.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
